As a child longs for a kind word from his father, I long to to hear these words from you, Lord Jesus, " Well done, thou good and faithful servant." When my duty on this earth is finished, I pray the world will know I served you; and I served you faithfully and in goodness. However, most of all, I pray that I can hear the words, "Well done!" Lord, in the morning I start each day,

Loving Father, Help us remember the birth of Jesus,

After accepting Jesus as my savior as a boy, the one of things I treasured most about the memory was the walk home from church with my new friend, Jesus. I had a pure trust in my new friend and rejoiced in the new life He had given.

My prayer today is that the Lord will renew the simple and pure trust I had in my friend, Jesus. I know He has not changed and has not left me. Lord allow me to walk with you today.

Lord today in the shadow of the memory of those innocence people that lost their life to terrorism, let us remember those brave individuals that gave their life responding to the crisis. Let us remember to pray for police that put their life a risk for our safety. Let us remember the firemen and women that run into the flames to save others. Let us remember to pray for all of the first responders and for their families. Amen

Moreover as for me, God forbid that I should sin against the LORD in ceasing to pray for you…(1 Samuel 12:23)

Father in Heaven,
Please make me strong when others are weak,
brave when others are afraid
and vigilant when others are distracted by the chaos.
Provide comfort and companionship to my family when I must be away.
