Today I awake with a thankful heart to have another day to do your will. There are a number of different paths and directions that I might go today and I need your Spirit to help direct in on the paths that will fulfill your will and give you the glory. Help me to have a thankful heart even if the path is rough; and please help me have a thankful heart toward you if the path is smooth because I often forget who has made it so. Amen
Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.
In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. (Proverbs 3:5-6)
This is the beginning of a new day.
God has given me this day to use as I will.
I can waste it or use it for good.
What I do today is important,
because I'm exchanging a day of my life for it.
When tomorrow comes,
this day will be gone forever,
leaving in its place something
that I have traded for it.
I want it to be gain, not loss;
good, not evil; success, not failure;
in order that I shall not regret
the price I paid for it.
