Lord Prepare Me for the Day!

Lord, I do not know what temptations or trails I will face today; but I am sure that you will be with me every step of the way. Help me to prepare myself spiritually, mentally and emotionally for today’s battle. Let you Spirit be my guide and your Word my sword. Amen

Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Ephesians 6:13

Help Me Guard My Heart's Gateway*

Temptation’s gateway to heart is the mind. 

When I allow my mind to wander without direction, it will travel down paths of worldly enticements. Lord you have granted me a healthy mind, please help me to keep it concentrated on you and your word. Amen.

Keep Me True To My Love

Lord help me to stay on the level path and avoid even the slightest flirtation. Allow me to honor my spouse by staying true to my love. Amen!

Let the fact that God sees all and nothing is hidden from Him be a motivator to avoid adultery by not allowing even the slightest flirtation take place between you and anyone that is not your spouse. JB

Help me to run from...

Lord please help me to run -- to run quickly and far from the temptations of lust and the enticements of the worldly lustfulness. Help me to remember that I am not above such temptations and it is your desire that I live a holy life.
