Rid me of...

Lord, your Spirit has reminded me of how easily I can let disappoint and rejection turn into anger and bitterness. I do not wish to be an angry person nor do I want bitterness
Bitter Man
to invade my thoughts. Help me to dismiss anger and bitterness with your love and mercy. Grant the grace necessary to deal with disappoint and rejection in a positive manner. Amen.

Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice: Eph 4:31

Angry People

Lord help me to have a forgiving heart and not to harbor anger or hatred in my heart; and let me have the wisdom and will to avoid friendships with people bound by anger. Amen.

Make no friendship with a man given to anger, nor go with a wrathful man, lest you learn his ways and entangle yourself in a snare. Proverbs 22:24-25 ESV

Anger is a snare to anyone that will not let go of it. Anger is also contagious; and a person should avoid a relationship with anyone that harbors anger or easily becomes angry. -Pastor Jim

Chill Out and Be Transparent

Lord, please help me to control my temper and to think before I act. Let my affairs be upright and transparent.  Amen.

A man of  quick temper acts foolishly,  and a man of evil devices is hated. Proverbs 14:17 ESV

Take control of your temper. It is an emotion that clouds your thinking and will cause you to say and/or do things that will not profit you. Be upright and transparent in all of your dealings and others will accept you.
