Little Blessings: A Thanksgiving Prayer

Lord, please allow your child to observe and be thankful for the little blessings of life. Do not allow a sunrise or a sunset go unnoticed nor let the songs of the birds or the giggles of a child go unheard. Help your servant see the little blessings and give praise to you. Amen.

That I may publish with the voice of thanksgiving, and tell of all thy wondrous works. (Psalm 26:7)

A July 4th Prayer

An Independence Day Prayer.

We thank you Lord for the joy to celebrate the 4th of July. Lord, we pray for our nation and those that lead this country. We pray that there will be a return to the values and standards found in your Word; and that we will remember that it is You that has blessed us. We ask that you continue to keep your kind hand on our land and and that we as a country will honor you. Amen.


Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD; and the people whom he hath chosen for his own inheritance. -Psalm 33:12

Remember the Cross*

May your servant recall the price Jesus paid for his (her) sins and may that motivate me to live sacrificially for You. May my attitude be that of giving and not of taking, of sharing my blessings and not hording them. Amen.
