I am not by nature thankful. The sin nature relishes in complaining. Lord, I ask that Your Spirit helps me to develop an attitude of gratitude and not grumbling. Amen!

A Positive Influence

Lord let me be a helping hand to those that need encouragement. Let me be a beacon of hope and not a cloud of discouragement. Allow your servant to be a positive influence on my family, friends, and neighbors. Amen.

Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven. Matthew 5:16

Today's Prayer: Environment and Outlook

Lord, I tend to let the environment affect my attitude and outlook. Help me to remember that I do not need to let my environment affect who I am nor who I can be. AMEN. Share

When my duty on this earth is finished...

As a child longs for a kind word from his father, I long to to hear these words from you, Lord Jesus, "Well done, thou good and faithful servant." When my duty on this earth is finished, I pray the world will know I served you; and I served you faithfully and in goodness. However, most of all, I pray that I can hear the words, "Well done!" Amen.

Spirit Crushed?

Lord, I will need your help and your blessings to maintain a good spirit. Allow me to be sensitive to the spirit of others and to be an encouragement to those that might be near to having a crushed spirit. Keep me from being the instrument that might crush another person’s spirit both in word and deed. Amen.

A person can endure a great deal as long as his or her spirit isn’t broken and they have not given up. -JB
