Nativity Prayer of St. Bernard of Clairvaux

Let Your goodness Lord appear to us, that we
made in your image, conform ourselves to it.
In our own strength
we cannot imitate Your majesty, power, and wonder
nor is it fitting for us to try.
But Your mercy reaches from the heavens
through the clouds to the earth below.
You have come to us as a small child,
but you have brought us the greatest of all gifts,
the gift of eternal love
Caress us with Your tiny hands,
embrace us with Your tiny arms
and pierce our hearts with Your soft, sweet cries.

Remember Not

Again, we take our prayer from the Scriptures:

Remember not the sins of my youth or my transgressions;

    according to your steadfast love remember me,

    for the sake of your goodness, O Lord! (Psalm 25:7 ESV)

I am thankful for your goodness toward me! Allow me to live like I am grateful! Amen.

Goodness Please!

Thank you Lord for you goodness. It is because of your goodness that people turn from their sinful ways (Romans 5:2:4). Your Spirit, O Lord, wishes to produce goodness within me.  Help me to live a life of goodness and build a legacy of goodness. Amen.

When my duty on this earth is finished...

As a child longs for a kind word from his father, I long to to hear these words from you, Lord Jesus, "Well done, thou good and faithful servant."
