Guard My Heart and My Mind

Lord help me to set a guard my heart. Let me have a heart of faith and let me have a heart of love. Help my mind and emotions rest in the hope and salvation you have promised. Help me Lord to walk in the light of your Word and your Spirit. Amen.

But since we belong to the day, let us be sober, having put on the breastplate of faith and love, and for a helmet the hope of salvation. 1 Thessalonians 5:8 ESV

Delighting in the Water of Your Word

Lord allow me to delight in the water of your word and to become a person of hope in a dark world. Amen

He is like a tree planted by streams of water that yields its fruit in its season, and its leaf does not wither. In all that he does, he prospers. Psalms 1:3 ESV

Pastor Jim's Observation: 
The person that follows the Lord and obeys his word is like a well-watered tree in a barren land. A hopeless land and a hopeless life needs people that delights in the Lord and his word. They are a refreshing tree that produces hope; and they know true prosperity.

LORD, please change (you fill in the blank)

Do not let the devil or the world deceive you into believing you are trapped or predestined to a certain way of life. God has the power and he will grant the grace to change you and any state of affairs you may find yourself. There only two requirements. You must be willing to change and seek by faith his help. Share

May I BE.....

May I choose today to be a light of hope to all I encounter today. To the broken hearted, may I direct them to the the mender of hearts. To the troubled may I bring them to the great peacemaker. To the confused and misguided may I guide them to the Light of the World. May I be a compass to the lost. May my message in word and action be one of hope. Amen

Lord make me a missionary. Father, I realize that I do not need to go thousands of miles away from home to be a missionary. I can and should be a missionary in my neighborhood. Make me a vehicle of the hope found in the gospel message. Amen. Share
