I Confess My Troubles*

Martin Luther said,“What are the things we should pray for? First, our personal troubles…The greatest trouble we can ever know is thinking that we have no trouble for we can become hard-hearted and insensible to what is inside of us.”

Lord today I hold before you my troubles -- my personal stuggles and trials. Some of these are the results of my own poor choices and some because of rebellion to your will and your word. I confess my sins, my faults, my mistakes; and I look to you and your grace to trun my troubles into blessings. I also trust you to see me through those troubles that may have come upon me for reason unknown to me. Amen.

Let Me Hold My Head High*

Lord, I depend on you Lord to be my shield and my glory in times of trouble and ask you to help me face my troubles and problems with a uplifted head. Amen.

But you, O LORD, are a shield about me, my glory, and the lifter of my head. Psalms 3:3 ESV

The Lord is our protection; and if there be any honor found in us, He is the reason for it. No matter what the circumstances, the believer in God can hold his head high and face the world.

May I BE.....

May I choose today to be a light of hope to all I encounter today. To the broken hearted, may I direct them to the the mender of hearts. To the troubled may I bring them to the great peacemaker. To the confused and misguided may I guide them to the Light of the World. May I be a compass to the lost. May my message in word and action be one of hope. Amen

Where I put my trust will determine if I will know peace and contentment. With the threat of an economic crisis hanging over many nations, let me, O Lord, renew my trust in YOU for my greatest treasures are not here on earth. Amen
