Good Host

Lord allow me to be a good host to your Spirit and allow him to occupy every area of my life. Grant me wisdom to take care of this body that you have granted me; and Lord let me offer you my all in service. Amen. Share

Your Spirit Please

Your servant needs the guidance of your Spirit. Please let His presence be known and Your will revealed in all the decisions I make today. Amen.

Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come. - John16:13

Observant

Often Lord I live in my own little world and do not see the needs of others. Lord, help me to be observant. Allow me to see the needs of others, especially my family and my church family. Lord, also allow me to be observant of the working of your Holy Spirit in my life and in the lives of others. Amen

If a brother or sister is poorly clothed and lacking in daily food, and one of you says to them, “Go in peace, be warmed and filled,” without giving them the things needed for the body, what good is that? (James 2:15,16 ESV)

Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore. (Psalms 16:11)

Fruit of Meekness.

Your life while on earth, Lord Jesus, is an example of what a Spirit filled life is.  While you walked on earth you practiced meekness (i.e. strength under control). Let your Spirit develop the fruit of meekness in me.  Amen.

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. (Galatians 5:22-23)

Father, I find myself often getting in the way of your Holy Spirit. When I do so, I usually make a mess of things. Help me to get out of the way and let your Spirit live through me. Amen.

Holy Spirit Guidance

Help me Lord to be aware of the leadership of your Holy Spirit in my life. I need to be sensitive to His  guidance and to what he is teaching me. He wishes to work a good work in me; and I must learn to allow Him to do so. Thank you Lord of sending the Comforter. Amen.

But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you. John 14:26 (KJV)

A New Day

Lord grant your servant the ability to start each day as a new day. Make me fully conscience of your forgiveness of yesterday’s mistakes and empower me with Your Spirit to live afresh for you. Amen!

My Shortcomings

Father, help me see my shortcomings, the faults and sins that are mine. Allow me the grace not to pass judgment on another before I carefully examine my own life. Holy Spirit search me and make known to me those secret sins so I might confess them and serve the LORD with a pure heart. I give thanks to my Lord Jesus for shedding his precious blood so I might obtain forgiveness. Amen. Share
