Righteousness

Lord you are righteous. Please grant your servant the grace to walk uprightly. May all of my actions be honorable. Amen.

He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the LORD require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God? (Mic 6:8)

Let my life be such that others will say

Allow me, O Lord, to follow you -- the Good Shepherd. Gently guide me into the path of righteousness and protect me from those that would lead me astray. Let me trust you to provide that which is good and edifying. Let my life be such that others will say, "There is a true Christian." Amen.

Upright and Satisfied*

Lord allow me to be upright in my walk with you and therefore be content. Amen

The righteous has enough to satisfy his appetite, but the belly of the wicked suffers want. Proverbs 13:25 ESV

A righteous person knows contentment but the unrighteous person is never satisfied. The Apostle Paul said, “I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content.” Godliness and contentment go hand-in-hand; whereas ungodliness is followed by dissatisfaction.  (See 1 Timothy 6:6 and Philippian 4:11-12) -JB
