A Back-To-School Prayer!

Lord many children across this nation will soon be returning to school. We ask you to restore in our schools the truths found in your word. Allow those students that are believers in you to be bold in their witness for you. May they become living Bibles for their classmates since our nation has rejected the teaching of the Bible within the classroom. Amen

Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints; And for me, that utterance may be given unto me, that I may open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the gospel, For which I am an ambassador in bonds: that therein I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak. Ephesians 6:18-20
"By removing the Bible from schools we would be wasting so much time and money in punishing criminals and so little pains to prevent crime. Take the Bible out of our schools and there would be an explosion in crime." --Benjamin Rush, Signer of the Declaration of Independence, Physician, writer, educator, humanitarian

A Simple Child-like Prayer

sometimes a simple child's prayer is exactly what we need. The following poem/prayer seems to fit today.

Children's Morning Prayer

Lord, in the morning I start each day,

By taking a moment to bow and pray.
I start with thanks, and then give praise
For all your kind and loving ways.
Today if sunshine turns to rain,
If a dark cloud brings some pain,
I won't doubt or hide in fear
For you, my God, are always near.

I will travel where you lead;

I will help my friends in need.
Where you send me I will go;
With your help I'll learn and grow.

Hold my family in your hands,

As we follow your commands.
And I will keep you close in sight
Until I crawl in bed tonight.

Amen.

A Prayer for the Children

Check Out: Look At All The Lonely People
Today, Lord, we wish to pray for the children, especially those that are within our family. We ask that you will protect them and keep them from the evil one. Put a barrier of your love around them so they stay within your way and so that those that would lead them astray cannot do so. You are a loving Father and we trust these we love to your hands. Amen.

Lo, children arean heritage of the LORD: and the fruit of the womb is his reward. (Psalms 127:3)

Child Like Friendship/Trust

After accepting Jesus as my savior as a boy, the one of things I treasured most about the memory was the walk home from church with my new friend, Jesus. I had a pure trust in my new friend and rejoiced in the new life He had given.

My prayer today is that the Lord will renew the simple and pure trust I had in my friend, Jesus. I know He has not changed and has not left me. Lord allow me to walk with you today.

And said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven. Matthew 18:3

A Prayer for Parents

Lord you have granted a special privilege to some couples by granting them the title of parents. Being a father or mother is much more than  a title, it is an awesome responsibility. They are to be protector, provider, teacher, and mediator of your love to the child or children you have entrusted to their care. Today, we ask that you grant parents the wisdom and capability to fulfill their responsibility and to rejoice in the special privilege you have bestowed on them. Amen
