A Back-To-School Prayer!

Lord many children across this nation will soon be returning to school. We ask you to restore in our schools the truths found in your word. Allow those students that are believers in you to be bold in their witness for you. May they become living Bibles for their classmates since our nation has rejected the teaching of the Bible within the classroom. Amen

Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints; And for me, that utterance may be given unto me, that I may open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the gospel, For which I am an ambassador in bonds: that therein I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak. Ephesians 6:18-20
"By removing the Bible from schools we would be wasting so much time and money in punishing criminals and so little pains to prevent crime. Take the Bible out of our schools and there would be an explosion in crime." --Benjamin Rush, Signer of the Declaration of Independence, Physician, writer, educator, humanitarian

A Prayer for Homeschooling

Lord throughout this land there are some brave parents that have chosen for a variety reason to teach their children at home. Many of these homeschooling parents have chosen this way because they wish to insure their children have a proper understanding of you and your word. This is a heavy responsibility and will require a lot of time, energy, and wisdom. We ask Lord that you empower them with strength and wisdom to teach their children. Amen.

You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might. And these words that I command you today shall be on your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise. You shall bind them as a sign on your hand, and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes. You shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates. Deuteronomy 6:5-9 ESV

A Prayer for College Students.

In a few days Lord, our universities and colleges will start their fall sessions and thousands of young men and women will be attending classes. For some of these students, they will be leaving home for the first time and will be on their own. All will find that they will be introduced new influences. Our prayer is that you will intercede in their lives and help them make good decisions and help them to find and know the truth. We also join with their parents in asking you to protect them during this time. Thank you Lord. Amen.

Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. John 14:6

Wherewithal shall a young man cleanse his way? by taking heed thereto according to thy word. Psalm 119:9

A Prayer for Our School Teachers

The excitement of back-to-school is in the air. One-fourth of the U.S. population age three and older will be attending classes (76 million); and over seven million teachers are preparing to start a new school year (U.S.A. Census).

Today Lord, we hold up those teachers before you. They mold the minds of our young; and we ask that your Spirit intercede in their classroom. We pray that our teachers will seek and find the wisdom that comes from you; and that they will seek You to be both the Lord of their life and the Lord of their classroom. We ask that you protect our teachers and our schools from harm and evil. May you bless our teachers with love, understanding, wisdom and patience. May our teachers not only teach good character but may they also model good character. May this be a rewarding year for our schools and our teachers. Amen

If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him. James 1:5
