Officially the “holiday season” (i.e. the period of time from Thanksgiving to Christmas) has begun.  This time causes a great deal of stress for many people. Lord, allow your servant to remain cool and calm and let your servant be a source of encouragement and peace to others. Amen

And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Philippians  4:7

Lord, make me an instrument of Your peace!
Where there is hatred let me sow love;
Where there is injury, pardon;
Where there is doubt, faith;
Where there is despair, hope;
Where there is darkness, light;
Where there is sadness, joy.

Let the Peace of Heaven

Lord let peace of heaven quite my sorrows and disperse my worries and fears. I do not seek an absence from troubles or trials; but I do seek an inward assurance that you are in control. You are my heavenly Father and I know that you will quiet my mind and soul. Again, Lord please grant me inward peace. Amen. 

And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful. (Col 3:15)

Lord, our inner most being is shaken with the horror of the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting.  Our minds and spirits cannot comprehend nor understand such actions. We are driven to our knees as we think of those families that have lost loved ones. We ask Lord that you grant a peace from above to fall on all affected by this tragedy and ask you to reassure our hearts that you are in control.  Amen.
